Yesterday the moon was in the brightest and biggest position for the whole year as the orbit is not in a round shape. So many photographers went out to take spectacular photos of this event. However I missed the chance yesterday and thought I might try my luck today. So I spontaneously went to get a nice snapshot. Even though it’s my very first try of the night moon I think it’s quite an acceptable result to advance from.
Today I have been able to try out the Panasonic Lumix FS10 which is in my eyes a really great and tiny low-budget camera for the quick snapshot on the go. The camera is featuring an intelligent Automatic modus as well as several scene modes or manual. It’s super light and slim so you won’t mind having it in your handbag 24/7. It’s great for consumers who are not very familiar with photography for adventures or holiday where they just want to enjoy themself. This tiny device is just perfect for point and shoot operation. I can recommend it to anyone who doesn’t want to get into photography too much but still frame a moment of time. For the value it’s definitely worth a look at.
If you are further interested into this camera, I’d kindly advise you to check out the product page here:
A very essential accessory for photographers are batteries and I’d like to show you my favourite ones. Sanyo Eneloop.
Their design is straightforward and simple but similar to Apple products they still look gorgeous. However design is not everything.
is their survivability. The current version will even work with full capacity after 1500 charges. So they’ll probably work for more than 4 Years on a normal usage. So it’s totally worth the price which is still quite cheap.
As mentioned earlier spring will finally come and yet again it has been a superb clear and sunny day. However it wasn’t that warm. But you can already feel the weather is changing to the comfortable and relaxing state.
As a photographer you’ll need to work on computers to enhance, fix or tweak your pictures which sometimes require several hours in front of the screen. A headache might be a result to that. I’ve encountered it recently quite sometimes and tried to find a very natural and easy way to get a relief. After a short research the most interesting way to find out was to drink espresso coffee with lemon juice which is said to help the blood flow overall. Luckily I had all ingredients – coffee with machine as well as fresh citrons – to hand and prepared the antidote.
Very surprisingly the antidote really relieved my headache completely and I astonished. However there’s a downside on that. Obviously coffee with citron juice tastes really awkward. Not as bad as medicine though. I wouldn’t really mind to drink it again in exchange of having a headache. With that said, I really can advise anyone to try that before swallowing pills with side effects.
Today I had the chance shooting some very common pets a lot of people had when they were young or to give their children. Guinea pigs those fluffy tiny animals are also worth taking a good shot at them. If for your photo album, Facebook or just to show someone on your mobile phone. This photo also features a very sharp 20mm lumix pancake lens.
There’s a special compartment at the Frankfurt Zeil which i want to mention today. It’s called MyZeil and is basically a new shopping passage with several levels and loads of shops. If you’re seeking for clothes, electronics a nice meal or coffee or other services you can count yourself in going there. My favourite store is obviously the “Kamera” store which sells nerdy equipment for all kinds of photography maniacs. Well to be honest it’s most likely that I am checking out new gear there and if nessessary I’ll buy online if the price is right.
MyZeil is even more amazing because of the architecture. A very small preview of it is featured in this post. However, for photography maniacs it’s a must see building which can be visited while being nearby before going to the “eiserner steg” or “römer” or whatever your destination will be. In fact, there’s a lot to see and you can’t see everything in just a day.
Even though I have been living in Frankfurt forever I never payed a visit going up onto the roof of the TV Tower in Frankfurt. I heared there is a spectacular view towards the skyline. Honestly I had the chance once when I was a kid but I was invited to a birthday party. However, maybe in the near future I’ll be paying this amazing attraction a visit.
Today I’d like to present you one of my favourite toys. It’s the Joby GorillaPod Focus which can carry up to 5 kg of weight as well bend his feet in all directions to mount onto trees, signs, surfaces and much more. It might not be the most recommended tripod below professional photographer but it is certainly a great toy to play around with and to shoot photos in special angles or whenever your big tripod is not suited for your location, or it’s just too bulky to take everywhere.
The Joby GorillaPod is light, small, flexible. The perfect little tool for a quick tour. One thing you should know is that it’s not really useful if you forget to mount a ballhead. Obviously you want to adjust your camera. Personally I am not into a Video Review or of a much detailed review for now because there are quite a lot out of them. If you feel interested you can proceed checking it out on Joby.com and i definitely guarantee you won’t regret using one. With that said, I can only assure you that this little 3 legged gadget is one of my favourite toys and I am very happy to own it.
Today I had the chance to enjoy a shot with little hairy Terry who’s been quite confident to hunt some ducks while being in the spotlight. Even though Terry hasn’t been able to catch anything it was also quite a good time. Terry now can enjoy some beautiful shots and yet again thanks for this opportunity.
